About Nagar Nigam Shahjahanpur
Shahjahanpur district is spread over an area of 4575 square meters and is considered to be an agricultural area. The geographical location of this district is south east of Rohilkhand division and latitude 27.54 north and latitude 79.57 east.
Its surrounding districts are Lakhimpur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Bareilly, Badaun and Pilibhit. The district was founded in 1813 by Diler Khan and Bahadur Khan, sons of Darya Khan (a soldier of the Mughal ruler Jahangir's army).
During the reign of Shah Jahan, both the brothers had attained a respectable position. Shah Jahan gifted 14 villages to Diler Khan for his dedication and courageous deeds.
